Reimagining a Classic
The Cinema Theatre Lutetia stands as a 1950s landmark at the heart of my city, blending nostalgia with contemporary art to offer a delightful viewing experience with each visit. Amidst the challenges of adapting to modern ticketing technologies, I found inspiration to embark on a project aimed at revitalizing this cultural gem. Currently, I am in the process of developing this concept into a web application.
I began by researching the rich history of Cinema Lutetia, collecting photographs, stories, and memorabilia from the 1950s to present day. This helped me understand the theater's cultural significance and the elements that made it special to the community.
The design approach focused on preserving the nostalgic charm while introducing modern functionality. I created a visual identity that honors the theater's art deco roots while ensuring the digital experience feels contemporary and intuitive.
The project is currently in development, with the brand identity and user experience design completed. The next phase involves implementing the ticketing system and content management features that will allow the theater to easily manage screenings and events.
